Crossroads Education Institute, as it is known today was conceptualized in 2004 as the Institute for Therapy Advancement.
In 2006 the Institute evolved into Crossroads Institute, and later became Crossroads.
The need for further medical education initiatives resulted in the development of an umbrella organization, Campbell Education Institute, in 2012
In 2016, The Crossroads Institute and Campbell Educational Institute merged to form the Crossroads Education Institute
Dr Tom Mabin is an interventional cardiologist in private practice at the Mediclinic Vergelegen in Cape Town, South Africa. Dr Mabin was a founder and inaugural President of the South Africa Society of Interventional cardiology (SASCI) and been a pioneer in introducing new developments in coronary and structural heart disease procedures in South Africa and abroad. His position as Medical Director of Crossroads since its inception, bears testament to his belief in the power of education.
Dr Dave Kettles is an interventional cardiologist in private practice at Life St Dominic’s Hospital in East London, South Africa. Dr Kettles is passionate educator presenting at both local and international events. He is a Course Director at the Crossroads Education Institute and is the Past President of SASCI.
