Prof Sianos is an Assistant Professor in Cardiology at AHEPA University Hospital in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a founding member and member of the scientific board of the Euro CTO Club and a previous President of the Working Group of Interventional Cardiology of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology. He has also held a number of other prominent positions in the ESC-EAPCI and has been a member of the scientific program committee for EuroPCR. Prof Sianos’ research interest is chronic total occlusions.
Dr Mashayekhi is the Deputy Senior Consultant Cardiology and Angiology II oft the University Heartcenter in Bad Krozingen, Germany. He also holds the Directorship of the CTO and CHIP Program within the unit. In 2014, Dr Mashayekhi was appointed as Europe’s youngest “full member” of the Euro-CTO-Club. Dr Mashayekhi is a regular presenter at congresses including the EuroCTO Club Meeting, TCT, CTO Summit and EuroPCR. He also frequently participates as a live case operator in CTO cases. Dr Mashayekhi’s research interest are chronic total occlusions, coronary high risk PCI, rotablation and left main stenting.
Dr Naber is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University Hospital in Essen, Germany. He is the course-co-director of EuroPCR and PCR London Valves, and course-director of AsiaPCR. He has served as a member of the executive board of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and is a member of the editorial boards of EuroIntervention and AsiaIntervention. DrNaber has been appointed as the Stent for Life Initiative Chairman from 2016 – 2018. He is a past-chairman of the German Working Group of Interventional Cardiology (AGIK/DGK) as well as a member of the Task force on Infective Endocarditis of the European Society of Cardiology and a fellow of the American Heart Association and of the European Society of Cardiology. Dr Naber’s research interestes include left main, TAVI, bifurcations and STEMI.
Prof Eric Eeckhout is a professor in the faculty of Medicine and Biology at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Prof Eeckhout is the director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory at University Centre Hospital Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prof Eeckhout has been involved in the organization of the Annual Congress of the European Society of Cardiology as well as Euro- and AsiaPCR meetings. Prof Eeckhout is a member of the international editorial board of several Cardiology journals as European Heart; EuroIntervention; Cardiovascular Medicine; Interventional Cardiology; Archives of Cardiovascular Diseases, Journal of the Interventional Cardiology; Cardiology Research and Practice. He is also the founder of the International Congress on Complications during Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions and ECC ASIA. His interests include complication prevention and management.
Dr Thierry Lefevre is the Head of the Interventional Cardiology Department and Head of Research at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud at Institut Hospitalier Jacques Cartier in Massy, France. Dr Lefevre is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and a fellow of the Society for Angiography and Interventions. He has been the author or co-author of more than 90 articles and 180 abstracts in peer-review journals since 1985. He is a regular guest speaker at several major symposia including EuroPCR.
Dr Matthias Ulrich is an internist and an angiologist from Leipzig, Germany. He earned his medical degree at the University of Leipzig, where he also completed an internship in internal medicine. He completed additional training in internal medicine and angiology at the University of Leipzig Heart Centre. An active researcher, Dr Ulrich has participated in more than 30 clinical studies of medical devices for peripheral and carotid interventions. He has authored more than 25 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr Ulrich has been a live case operator at leading medical congresses, including LINC, LINC Asia-Pacific and the VERVE Symposium.
Dr Sarah Pape is a plastic and reconstructive surgery consultant at the Royal Victoria Infirmary located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. She has a special interest in burns and skin laser surgery and a particular interest in the management of patients with difficult wounds and scars. Dr Pape provides a comprehensive multi-disciplinary service for adults and children with burns from initial injury to long-term reconstruction. She has published extensively especially in the user of laser Doppler to determine burn depth. Dr Pape has recently been awarded an OBE for her tireless work in Romania where she assisted patients who had been burnt in a devastating nightclub fire.
Prof Ran Kornowski is the Chief of Cardiology at Rabin Medical Center in Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tika, Israel. He also holds the title of Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine in The Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University. His professional reputation is derived from multiple basic and applied research and clinical experimental studies in the fields of cardiac intervention, imaging, pharmacology, catheter-based valve disease and more. Prof Kornowski is a Programme Committee Member for EuroPCR and is the President of the Israel Cardiology Association as well as holding positions in other societies. He has published and co-authored over 300 peer reviewed papers and several books during his career.
Prof Thomas Cuisset is a senior interventional cardiologist at the Cardiology Unit at La Timone Hospital in Marseille, France. Prof Cuisset is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and an active member of the ESC Working Group on Thrombosis. He is also a member of European Association for Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) as well as a EuroPCR program committee member and a PCRonline Editorial Board Advisor. Prof Cuisset’s main fields of interest for clinical practice are coronary interventions and TAVI, and for research, antithrombotic therapy and coronary physiology. He published several papers in major journals on these topics.
Mr Kulvinder Lall is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, UK. s in the UK, with particular expertise in aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, coronary artery bypass graft, and thoracic aortic aneurysm. A leading specialist in high risk aortic, mitral, coronary & electrophysiological surgery he has published in over 15 peer reviewed worldwide journals and is actively involved in NHS research. He teaches extensively in China, Europe, Hong Kong and Israel and was the first implanter of a stentless heart valve in Asia (Beijing 2010). More recently he has been implanting the next generation of sutureless heart valves in London, presenting data at International meetings in New York, Europe and Asia. Kulvinder is an active member of the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland, The European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS) and The American Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).
